Very Nice example of a McElroy short Artillery Sword. 24.25 inches overall. Bright blade with old signs of well done sharpening. Confederates often sharpened their swords. No pitting or damage, some wonderful casting flaws that you like to see in these swords. Hilt is cast brass , also with some great casting imperfections. Wood scabbard with tin mounts and a brass drag tip and frog stud
