COURTNEY & TENNENT - Confederate/SC-Naval Cutlass
Manufd: England for S.C.
Maker: Mole - Courtney & Tennent
Year: Civil War
Size: 19.7in Blade
Finest COURTNEY & TENNENT - Confederate Naval Cutlass we have ever been able to offer. Produced by Mole in England for the Confederacy and run through the blockade. This ultra fine example has a 19.7 inch, minty blade -one nick- with a mirror finish. It has the Mole mark stamped deeply on the spine and a sharp agent mark 'COURTNEY & TENNENT / CHARLESTON S.C. The blade washer is also perfect and original. The Brass, 3 branch guard has a deep untouched patina. The hilt is solid and tight. Black checkered grips are perfect, well fitted and no shrinkage. Brass mounted leather scabbard is complete and in excellent condition. Leather is somewhat crazed, minor flaking. The seam is completely solid. A fine sword that will stand out in any Confederate, Navy or South Carolina collection.
