Early war dated cavalry saber 1862 D.J Millard.

Blade shows use and is a gray color. It is marked U.S. / C.E.W. /1862 and the reverse D.J Millard / Clayville, NY in an arched style / oval. The brass hilt has been cleaned a while back with some verdigris again forming. The pommel is marked with the matching inspector's initials C.E.W. The leather grip is a good re-wrap and it has twisted brass wire. The steel scabbard has overall light speckled pitting.
