Item # SER422   -  Ames M1840 Heavy Cavalry Saber & Scabbard
Mexican War Era Cavalry Saber by Ames Price: US $1,750       Qty Required      
Blade is deeply marked U.S. / S.K. with the reverse - N. P. Ames / Cabotville /1847. The blade is bright with some light speckling. The grips are a professional re-wrap and look perfect. The scabbard is nickel plated likely from an old G.A.R. post. No Marks can be seen on the scabbard through the nickel. A really good looking Early Ames at a good price.
