Item # SPCG345   -  Bleckmann Cav. M1860-Possible Ames sub contract
Nice Bleckmann M1860 Cavalry Enlisted Saber Price: US $995       Qty Required

Bleckmann produced one of the most correct pattern M 1860 cavalry sabers imported. It is considered likely that these were the sabers Ames contracted for and Ames used to fill orders. The scabbard is a standard U.S. model 1860 with a J.F. inspector on the drag. This saber has a bright blade, no nicks or rust, shows some prior cleaning. The grip is an excellent re-wrap with twisted brass wire wrap. The guard and pommel are very good, slight bend where the three branches meet.  The blade washer is a replacement. The blade stamp is the bow with BM markings.

Origin: Solingen      Maker: J.E. Bleckmann      Year: Civil War      Model: M1860      Size: 35 in. blade      Condition: VG
