A beautiful Pennsylvania insignia from the 4th Veteran Cavalry. The 4th PA Cavalry was organized at Camp Curtin, Harrisburg, PA on 9/20/61 and mustered out 7/1/65 at Lynchburg, VA. This regiment has great history. It was active at Antietam, Hedgesville, battle of Fredericksburg and shared in the *Mud March* in January 1863. Is skirmished at Chancellorsville, engaged at Brandy Station and Gettysburg. It also participated in Sheridan*s raid on Richmond among others.
