 David Emanuel Twiggs |

David Emanuel Twiggs served for both the US Army
and for Confederate forces during 1861. Twiggs was Commissioned as Brigadier General in US Army on June 30th 1846. He was dismissed from US Army for surrendering all men and equipment in Texas to the State of Texas at the start of the Civil War. Twiggs was Appointed Major General in the Confederate Provisional Army on May 22nd 1861. |
