Condition:
Ames Louisiana Militia bone fluted grip. Ball pommel, turned down guard with the Louisiana state seal of the pelican feeding it's young and a large ribbon above reading "Justice Union and Confidence". The blade has an etched scroll design reading; N. P. Ames / Cutler / Springfield. It has acorn and oak leaves, A stand of arms with a liberty cap, a Federal Eagle with an E. Pluribus Unum ribbon above and finished with Acorn and Oak Leaves. The reverse is also Acorn, a stand of arms and crossed flags, a sunburst with stars around a script LA. The scabbard is gilt brass with leaf decoration. It has 2 carry rings with no ring bands and a frog stud.
