The Frock coat is gray wool with blue piping. It has double quatrefoil running from the cuff to above the elbow with the cuff trimmed in blue piping. The skirt has an unfinished hem and hidden slip pockets in the tail. The lining is light green wool in the breast area and a slightly darker green in the skirt area. The collar insignia is that of a captain, triple bars of gold bullion. The buttons are the very rare; CS 1 Staff officer marked S. Isaacs Campbell & Co. St. James St./ London. The cuffs are the same but marked Riveted & Soldered with a diamond around the shank. All four tail buttons are present.
