Collins & Co. Hartford, Conn. are the markings on the blade of this superb cavalry officers sword. Maker is no doubt Tiffany & Co. NY the sword has three branches cast in very high relief and a decorated pommel cap. It has an eagle and shield on quill. The blade has an etched center panel of a beautiful eagle and US on reverse. It has an iron scabbard with engraved wide brass mounts and drag.

Middle

Presentation cavalry officers sword with a very high relief casting on the entire guard. The blade is decorated with etched flags, eagles and trophies. It is marked Clauberg. Iron scabbard has etched brass mounts and drag with the presentation engraved on the top mount.

Bottom

1860 cavalry officer sword marked Roby & Co. / W. P. Chelmsford / Mass. The fancy guard has decorated branches and pommel. The grip is sharkskin and is wire wrapped. The presentation is etched into the blade "Davis Co. F Spalding Light Cavalry MVM". Iron scabbard is nickeled with brass mounts.
